Valeo, a global automotive supplier with 111,600 employees across 184 production sites and 55 R&D centers, faced a spike in production incidents that exposed gaps in consistent training across multiple sites and languages. In 2016 Valeo sought a way to unify procedures and capture internal expertise, and chose SpeachMe’s cloud-based video knowledge transfer platform (Speaches) to formalize and quickly disseminate procedural knowledge.

Using SpeachMe, Valeo created a “Back to Basics” series of short, interactive How‑To Speaches—combining video, documents, screen captures and quizzes—and pushed follow-ups and reminders to employees. The initiative put knowledge creation in the hands of resident experts, sped up content sharing across sites, and led to a significant reduction in production incidents, along with time savings, increased productivity, and easier onboarding. SpeachMe’s platform has since been adopted more broadly within Valeo to democratize and standardize critical know-how.
