A Spatial Vision Case Study
Golden Plains Shire Council faced the challenge of preparing for rapid population and agricultural growth, which threatened to outpace its existing geospatial capabilities. The council needed to modernize its systems to handle large volumes of location-based data and build internal expertise. They engaged Spatial Vision to develop a Geospatial Strategy to address these gaps in intelligence and capacity.
Spatial Vision conducted a capability assessment through workshops and surveys to understand the council's needs. This resulted in a comprehensive four-year strategy with four key impact goals focused on empowering customers, implementing a contemporary geospatial solution, building expertise, and managing data intelligently. The solution provided by Spatial Vision gave the council a clear understanding of its current capabilities, aligned its strategy with other council plans, and created a powerful advocacy tool for securing future investment in geospatial systems.
