The City of Melbourne engaged Spatial Vision to address the challenge of comprehensively reviewing over 1000 heritage buildings within the Hoddle Grid. The city needed a holistic approach that considered both Aboriginal and post-colonial heritage values to protect cultural sites and provide clarity for future development in one of Australia's fastest-growing urban areas.

Spatial Vision provided spatial data collection, GIS database management, and mapping services to support the analysis. The vendor delivered essential address-based maps for over 70 heritage citations and large-scale visualizations that superimposed heritage places over the Melbourne CBD. This work provided the City of Melbourne with a richer understanding of its cultural heritage, helping to protect Indigenous cultural sites and promote more sensitive development outcomes.
