Harbor, through CCCC-FDHI’s HIDAS harbor engineering platform, needed a 3D design solution that could handle geology, geotechnics, hydraulic design, reinforcement, large-model visualization, and accurate 2D drawing production. Existing market tools such as Revit, CATIA, and MicroStation could not fully meet these specialized harbor design requirements, while a fully in-house build would be costly, risky, and difficult to extend.

Working with Spatial, Harbor’s team built HIDAS on Spatial’s 3D ACIS Modeler, HOOPS Visualize, Constraint Design Solver (CDS), and CGM Hidden Line Removal (HLR), using AGM as the application framework. The result was lower development costs, faster product development, and improved competitiveness, while enabling specialized 3D modeling, large-model display, constraint handling, and high-quality engineering drawings.
