Fva GmbH, a joint venture focused on drive technology software and services, needed to enhance its FVA-Workbench platform to stay competitive. The company wanted to add key capabilities such as Boolean operations on gear models, detailed meshing for finite element analysis, and accurate calculations of mass and volume across driveline systems. To support these needs, Fva partnered with Spatial Corp and incorporated Spatial’s 3D modeling and interoperability technologies.

Spatial Corp provided ACIS 3D modeling kernel, 3D Precise Mesh, 3D InterOp, and HOOPS Visualize to power FVA-Workbench. With Spatial’s SDKs, Fva GmbH gained robust solid modeling, fast FEA meshing, and best-in-class CAD data translation, while also improving 3D visualization for analysis and reporting. The result was a more feature-rich, user-friendly driveline modeling and analysis platform that helped FVA improve time to market and enable customers to prototype and analyze gear systems faster and more efficiently.
