ABB's Robotics Division required a new geometry engine for its RobotStudio simulation software but recognized that developing its own was outside its core competency. The challenge was to embed this critical new technology without undertaking an extensive internal development project.

Spatial provided its 3D ACIS Modeler and InterOp CAD translators, which were selected as the industry gold standard for their ease of integration. This solution enabled RobotStudio to easily import data from major CAD formats, allowing for the automatic generation of accurate robot programs.
