MannKind Corporation, a 400‑employee biopharmaceutical company best known for its inhaled insulin Afrezza, needed to modernize its quality management to ensure consistent product quality and timely patient access. Facing a decision to upgrade its on‑premises QMS or move to the cloud, the company prioritized ease of use, functionality, productivity and time savings.

MannKind went live with TrackWise Digital on March 31, 2022, converting to a cloud‑based QMS that automated supplier quality management, out‑of‑specification workflows and other key processes. The implementation created a single, central repository with improved access and navigation, and delivered advanced reporting and analytics that have already simplified quality oversight and are expected to streamline KPI tracking.
