Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board - Customer Case Study

Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board, responsible for 18 schools and about 4,500 students, first implemented Sparkrock’s Manage - Finance & Accounting and Manage - HR/Payroll in 2007 but had fallen nine versions behind. Facing changing Ministry of Education reporting requirements (including Schedule 10) and concern over accurate data migration, the board needed a flexible, up-to-date system and reassurance through a complex upgrade.

Sparkrock upgraded the board to the current release, provided on-site Application Consultants and continuous Customer Success support, and enabled dimension combination validation in the GL so accounts are checked before posting. As a result, Huron-Perth reduced time-consuming reallocating journal entries, improved data integrity for Ministry reporting, sped up finance and HR processes, and freed staff to provide more direct school support — improvements the board attributes to Sparkrock’s product and service.
