Mann+Hummel identifies 1,000 discontinued parts with SPARETECH

Mann+Hummel, a global leader in filtration technology, faced significant challenges due to its decentralized and uncontrolled spare parts management. This led to poor data quality, a high number of duplicate parts, and difficulties in sourcing discontinued items, which increased costs and risked machine downtime. To address this, Mann+Hummel partnered with SPARETECH to leverage its digital platform for data analysis and enrichment.

SPARETECH implemented its solution to compare Mann+Hummel's SAP material master data with its global database. The results were highly impactful: SPARETECH identified over 400 duplicates and more than 1,000 discontinued parts, listing a successor product for approximately 50% of them. This provided greater transparency across plants and suppliers, preventing production delays and reducing procurement costs and inventory levels for Mann+Hummel.
