How GAMO, Munitions Manufacturer, Increased Its Savings Performance In Just 1 Year

GAMO Outdoor, a European leader in air rifles and ammunition, needed to cut energy costs and implement a company‑wide energy management system to lower cost per unit amid rising production. GAMO partnered with 3ex4 and deployed the DEXMA Platform to monitor buildings and sub‑meters, establish energy policies, run communications and train staff.

Using the DEXMA Platform, 3ex4 and GAMO implemented 15 targeted improvements (LED lighting, process standby reductions, wastewater and passive‑consumption measures and sub‑metering) that cut cost per unit by 15% in 2011 and 28% by 2012, delivering consolidated savings of 28%, over €85,000 saved in the first two years, an investment of €24,300 with annual savings of €54,600 and an ROI of about 5.3 months. DEXMA’s monitoring, benchmarking and alerting capabilities were central to achieving the measurable efficiency gains and company‑wide behavioral change.
