How Canis Veterinary Hospital Saved Over €20,000

Canis Veterinary Hospital, a 24/7 private animal healthcare facility in Spain with more than 2,000 m² of clinics, operating rooms and specialized treatment areas, needed a stronger energy management plan to control consumption, optimize contracted power and prepare for solar self-generation. Working with Spacewell Energy’s DEXMA Platform, the hospital, through Audit Energía, gained visibility into its main meter and energy use patterns across the building.

Spacewell Energy supported the project with energy procurement auditing, telematic meter monitoring, staff training, LED lighting upgrades and the integration of solar PV plus sub-metering analysis. The results included a 28,552 kWh drop in electricity use from 2013 to 2016, 450 kWh saved per week from improved night consumption, and overall gains of 59% in energy consumption and 68% in final energy bill costs, totaling €23,022 in savings.
