GETGEN worked with Klarent Hospitality at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dartford Bridge Hotel, where rising energy prices and poor building controls were driving high utility costs and heavy reliance on grid electricity. The company needed a way to cut energy spend, improve heating reliability, and better measure savings, using Spacewell Energy for monitoring and verification.

Spacewell Energy helped GETGEN implement a solution built around its energy platform, alongside new CHP units and upgraded Tridium BMS controls. The result was a 75% reduction in grid dependency, electricity use from the grid cut to under 0.47 GWh in 2023, average electricity per room sold halved from 40.01 kWh to 20.46 kWh, and £376,911 in consolidated savings over 12 months.
