The CCCB (Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona) was facing rising gas and electricity costs and tighter budgets across its two buildings and 15,000 m2 of space. To meet an initial savings target (11.5% first year), CCCB worked with Estudi Ramon Folch & Associats (ERF) and adopted the DEXMA Platform energy-management software for real-time monitoring and management.

ERF deployed submeters and a real-time monitoring system and used the DEXMA Platform for dashboards, alerts and consumption analytics to optimize HVAC and heating schedules. The project delivered validated 15% savings in the first six months (about €20,000 saved in six months, ≈€40,000 annualized), a 292,500 kWh electricity reduction, building-level HVAC savings (Casa Caritat €12,100/yr, -18%; Theatre €10,900/yr, -36%; heating optimization €2,400/yr, -38%), faster maintenance response via alerts, and a 4.8-month ROI on a €16,000 investment — outcomes enabled by the DEXMA Platform.
