World’s Ninth Longest Road Tunnel Relies on Archibus to Manage Complex Trans-Alpine Operations

Frejus Tunnel, the ninth longest road tunnel in the world, faced a growing operations challenge: multiple, disparate systems for ventilation, fire detection, cameras and signage, outdated CAD drawings, no maintenance history and work orders managed in Excel. To address this, SpaceIQ implemented Archibus solutions — including Archibus Building Operations Management, On Demand Work, Preventive Maintenance, Call Center Wizard and Asset Portal — to provide an integrated asset and workflow management platform.

SpaceIQ’s Archibus implementation consolidated CAD data and asset records for more than 4,300 pieces of equipment across the 13 km tunnel, centralized work orders for 60 staff across five teams, and replaced spreadsheet-based tracking with one-click ticketing, an integrated maintenance calendar and asset history tied to work orders.
