Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), a Fortune 500 semiconductor manufacturer with 39 facilities, more than 2 million square feet and over 10,000 employees, needed a more rigorous way to manage facilities, sustainability and regulatory compliance across its global portfolio. SpaceIQ delivered the Archibus integrated workplace management solution — including Environmental Health & Safety, Energy Management, Green Building, Hazardous Materials, Mobile Framework, Asset and Space Management, Preventive Maintenance and Service Desk — to give AMD a consolidated platform for facilities and sustainability management.

SpaceIQ’s Archibus deployment enabled AMD to track and report on more than 250 environmental, health and safety data points, replace its legacy system, and gain automatic emission-factor entry, illness/injury reporting and seamless integration with space and employee data across all sites. The solution helped AMD aggregate and optimize energy and utility spending, improve worker safety and support its 2020 sustainability targets (25% renewable energy and a 20% absolute greenhouse gas reduction), while providing full global access to facilities and EH&S information.
