How we enabled CityFibre to fast-track Covid-safe workplaces across 25 locations, with Space Connect

CityFibre, the UK full‑fibre network builder investing £4 billion to reach 8 million premises, needed a Covid‑safe way to return key workers to offices while enforcing social distancing, controlling who could attend, and reporting on occupancy. To meet a tight three‑week timeline and allow future scalability and self‑administration, CityFibre selected Space Connect’s cloud‑based desk booking/management solution.

Space Connect deployed the system in 2.5 weeks, covering just over 400 bookable desks across 25 locations (with a further 180 desks across 10 locations and expansion to Room Booking and Visitor Management shortly after), and provided SSO, interactive mapping, mobile apps, analytics and an admin console for real‑time changes. The Space Connect solution enabled Covid‑safe site openings, the safe return of key personnel, and delivered desk utilisation and occupancy analytics that support data‑driven space planning.
