Case Study: John Lewis Partnership achieves efficient, inclusive and engaging screening with Sova Assessment

A Sova Assessment Case Study

Preview of the John Lewis Partnership Case Study

Selecting Partners of the future at John Lewis Partnership

John Lewis Partnership, one of the UK’s leading omni-channel retailers, needed a better way to screen the huge volume of applicants it receives each year for roles across John Lewis and Waitrose. Its existing online values questionnaire was no longer identifying the right candidates, and the business wanted a more candidate-centric, mobile-friendly process that could assess the values and behaviours of future Partners. Sova Assessment was brought in to help design a more robust and engaging screening approach.

Sova Assessment implemented the Partnership Selection Questionnaire (PSQ), a branching, scenario-based online assessment with live-action video, built to measure six core Partnership Behaviours and provide personalised candidate feedback. The solution was accessible on mobile, designed to be inclusive, and supported by automated candidate reports to reduce administrative burden. Since launch, it has screened over 50,000 applications, with 33% completed on mobile, while also saving time and improving accessibility and candidate engagement.
