Nationwide Building Society worked with Sova Assessment to modernize its recruitment process as part of a wider people and culture review. The challenge was to create a fair, consistent, sustainable, and borderless hiring journey for graduate, customer-facing, and technical roles, while reducing manual administration, improving candidate experience, and supporting a greener HR strategy during the shift to more virtual working.

Sova Assessment delivered a fully virtual end-to-end selection process using its online assessment platform, one-way video interviews, and virtual assessment centre capabilities, with reporting, feedback, and logistics all managed digitally. The result was a more engaging and accessible process that helped improve diversity and candidate quality, with 97% of candidates finding the assessment engaging, 94% reporting a positive impression of Nationwide, 89% accuracy in identifying exceptional performers, 867 people hours saved, and around £80,000 in cost savings.
