Generali, the global insurance company with more than 72,000 employees across 50 countries, needed a better way to assess hundreds of internal candidates for its global talent development programme. Working with Sova Assessment, the company wanted to identify future leaders aligned to its new strategy, create a meaningful development experience, ensure fairness, and scale the process efficiently.

Sova Assessment delivered a fully virtual assessment centre built around Generali’s new competency model and integrated with Mercer support, going live in June 2020. The solution gave candidates a branded, seamless experience with assessments, interviews, scoring, analytics and feedback in one platform, while improving fairness through standardized preparation and assessors. Generali reported hugely positive feedback, easier management across multiple candidate groups, and growing interest in similar technology globally.
