A Soutron Case Study
The Wiener Holocaust Library, a world-leading archive on the Holocaust and Nazi era, needed a way to manage its vast collection more effectively across library and archive materials. Soutron was brought in to replace multiple legacy systems with a single, relational library and archive management solution that could improve metadata capture, especially for photographs, and support more efficient enquiry handling.
Soutron developed a flexible, configurable portal that links records in a hierarchical structure, simplifies cross-referencing, and improves navigation and display of documents. The new catalogue is now live on The Wiener Holocaust Library website, giving users a single point of entry to thousands of books, pamphlets, documents, photographs, serials, and audio-visual materials, while also improving cataloguing consistency and streamlining workflows for staff.
