Whittington Health Library Use Soutron for Their Library Management Solution

Whittington Health NHS Trust needed to launch a new hospital library quickly after the closure of the Archway Healthcare Library and campus, with less than a year to find space, recruit staff, and implement a library management solution. After evaluating three suppliers, the trust selected Soutron to provide a cloud-based library management system for the new Whittington Health Library.

Soutron migrated around 5,500 records from the existing system into the new LMS without adding strain to the trust’s IT resources, and the system was in place within weeks, well before the physical move. The result was a fully managed, continuously updated library platform plus a Soutron-built portal featuring the online catalogue, recent acquisitions, inter-library loan and literature search links, Twitter feed, and KnowledgeShare access, reducing reliance on internal IT and drawing positive feedback for responsive support.
