EUROCONTROL, the European Organisation for the safety of Air Navigation, needed to unify several separate special libraries across multiple countries into a single catalogue for its 2,000 users. The challenge was to share accurate, timely information across borders while improving purchasing efficiency, controlling costs, and managing complex journal and loose-leaf document workflows critical to air traffic safety.

Soutron implemented its web-based Library Management System (LMS), tailored to EUROCONTROL’s multi-site needs and integrated with the main catalogue for acquisitions, budget reporting, and ICAO document control. The result was a single cohesive catalogue, streamlined workflows that saved staff hours, easier training through intuitive processes, and a central framework that lets each library operate autonomously under one annual fee.
