Oxford University Press Choose Soutron for Their Library Management Solution

Oxford University Press, the world’s largest university press with offices in 50 countries, needed a new cloud-based Library Management System in 2012. The team wanted a solution that would offer universal access, integrate with SharePoint, and connect to a central search facility via EBSCO, but found that many existing products were too complicated for a busy publisher’s corporate library. They chose Soutron for a tailored library management solution.

Soutron implemented a customized cloud-based Soutron Library Management System that fit OUP’s corporate library requirements and provided flexible access, simultaneous use for all users, and strong reporting capabilities. As a result, OUP can process around 200–500 accessions per week more easily, demonstrate the library’s value to senior leadership through custom reports, and rely on outstanding support from Soutron’s help desk. OUP is also exploring extending Soutron’s use to other parts of the organization.
