St. Anne's-Belfield School cuts carbon footprint 28% with Southland Industries

St. Anne's-Belfield School was facing rising energy, water, and maintenance costs due to aging infrastructure and inefficient systems across its two campuses. To address this challenge, the school selected Southland Industries to implement a comprehensive Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC).

Southland developed and executed a self-funding project that included lighting, HVAC, and water upgrades across seven buildings. This solution, financed through the VirginiaSAVES program, reduced the school's carbon footprint by 28 percent and is projected to decrease operating costs by $4.5 million over the life of the project. Southland delivered significant financial and environmental results for the school.
