SLS Hotels completes 767,000 SF Las Vegas resort on time with Southland Industries

SLS Hotels, a major hospitality company, faced the challenge of transforming the legendary Sahara Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas into the new SLS Hotel & Casino on an aggressive timeline and strict budget. They needed to be strategic in reusing viable parts of the existing mechanical infrastructure. To meet this challenge, SLS Hotels owner SBE engaged Southland Industries for design-build mechanical services.

Southland Industries conducted a thorough field investigation to integrate the old and new mechanical systems, utilizing frequent collaboration and detailed planning to keep the project aligned. The vendor successfully completed the design and installation of the HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building controls systems on time and within budget. This allowed the SLS Hotel and Casino Las Vegas to open as planned in August 2014.
