Preview of the Sabey Data Centers Case Study

Sabey Data Centers expands three million square feet with Southland Industries

Sabey Data Centers, one of the largest privately-owned multi-tenant data center operators, sought to expand its presence by constructing a new facility in the world's largest data center hub, Ashburn, Virginia. The challenge was to build a mission-critical data center that was efficient, reliable, and quick to market. Sabey engaged Southland Industries from the greenfield stage to provide design-build services for this new construction and to assist with relocating its eastern seaboard command center.

Southland collaborated with Sabey from the project's inception, taking a holistic view of the facility's lifecycle to deliver highly customized mechanical and building automation systems. This successful project established a foundation of transparency and trust, leading to a longstanding partnership. As a result, Southland continues to provide critical monitoring and reporting for the facility and is consulting on the design of a second Sabey data center in Ashburn.
