Los Angeles Clippers deliver Intuit Dome with Southland Industries and 1.35 million pounds of ductwork

The Los Angeles Clippers faced the challenge of constructing the innovative Intuit Dome, a new NBA arena requiring a highly advanced and precise HVAC system to ensure optimal climate control for fans. The project's unique design, with high ceilings and integrated seating, demanded a custom mechanical solution, which was provided by Southland Industries.

Southland Industries designed and installed a complex air delivery system, including over 1.35 million pounds of ductwork and custom plenums behind every stadium seat. This solution successfully provided seamless air distribution, contributing to the arena achieving LEED Platinum Certification with no net new greenhouse gas emissions. Southland Industries continues to support the system's long-term performance through a comprehensive service contract.
