A Southland Industries Case Study
The City of San Francisco required a new, resilient Public Safety Building to centralize its emergency services and administrative headquarters for its growing Mission Bay community. The city engaged Southland Industries to provide comprehensive mechanical construction services for this critical facility, which was funded by a public bond.
Southland implemented energy-saving HVAC systems, including chilled beam cooling and radiant floor heating, while heavily utilizing prefabrication to ensure a safe and timely installation. The company also met the city's strict requirements for local hiring and contracting. As a result, Southland helped the facility achieve LEED Gold certification and delivered the project on schedule, providing the city with a collaborative and efficient public safety hub.
