A Southland Industries Case Study
The confidential bank client, a national financial institution operating over 90 locations in Houston, faced challenges with aging infrastructure and unreliable building systems across its facilities. Partnering with Southland Industries through an MEP service agreement, the client sought to create a more consistent and efficient operating platform, which included addressing problematic HVAC equipment that required frequent manual resets.
Southland Industries implemented a comprehensive building automation system (BAS) retrofit and installation project across approximately 26 bank locations. Their solution involved integrating systems into a centralized management platform and installing specialized power conditioning equipment to stabilize a faulty rooftop unit. This provided the bank's facilities team with improved monitoring and control, enhanced occupant comfort, and reduced manual resets and emergency calls. Southland Industries' work is also expected to reduce long-term HVAC utility costs and support equipment performance.
