Krishi Pragati Foundation (KPF), a non-profit fresh agri-produce supply chain organization, needed a faster way to know produce availability, centralize farmer information across 5,000 scattered farmers, and provide customers with source traceability. Before working with SourceTrace, order confirmations could take 4–5 hours because staff had to call the field team for yield estimates, which sometimes caused lost business. KPF used SourceTrace’s traceability software to address these challenges, along with its supply chain and ICS needs.

SourceTrace implemented a mobile, digital system in 2016 that let field staff capture farm data on smartphones, build a central farmer database, track training programs, and generate QR codes on package stickers for customers to scan and trace the produce source. As a result, KPF gained real-time yield visibility, improved planning for marketing produce, and gave its accounts team access to product and payment records. KPF also reported stronger traceability and more efficient operations, with procurement data fully captured and post-packaging data being added next.
