Goldtree (S.L.) Limited, a palm oil producer in Sierra Leone, needed a better way to manage its outgrower network and support organic certification across thousands of smallholder farmers. With more than 7,000 farmers engaged each year, the company struggled to collect and manage field data efficiently for monitoring, mapping, loans, and supply chain traceability. It turned to SourceTrace and its DATAGREEN platform, including organic certification and loan processing modules.

SourceTrace implemented a fully digitized farm registration, mapping, inspection, certification, and loan management system for Goldtree. The solution helped Goldtree map and certify 6,500 farmers across 10,000 hectares, monitor field staff more effectively, retrieve loan records from soft copies, and track cash and seedling loans with ease. As a result, farmers received land-use maps and were paid 10% more per kilo of palm fruit after certification, while Goldtree improved oversight and efficiency across its operations.
