Criteo uses Sourcegraph universal code search to tackle Big Code

Criteo, the French ad retargeting company, was dealing with a massive, heterogeneous code environment spread across thousands of repositories and millions of lines of code. Its developers needed a faster, more accurate way to search across codebases than their legacy text-based tools could provide, especially when working across teams, languages, and repositories. Sourcegraph’s universal code search was introduced to address these challenges.

With Sourcegraph, Criteo gained a fast, intuitive, and code-aware search experience that works across all of its codebases, helping developers find and understand code more efficiently. Internal survey results showed that 83% of early adopters used Sourcegraph daily, nearly two-thirds used it several times per day, 55% saved a few dozen minutes daily, and 18% saved over an hour per day. Criteo reported overwhelmingly positive feedback and said Sourcegraph improved both developer happiness and productivity.
