CMD, a manufacturer founded in 1980 that issues over 5,000 purchase orders a year across 400 suppliers (40–50 line items per PO), faced error-prone manual PO processes, unclear lead times, and strained supplier relationships—particularly with distributor CMAFH—due to reliance on emails, phone calls, faxes, and spreadsheets. To address this, CMD implemented SourceDay, a supply chain performance software, to replace manual acknowledgements and fragmented communications with a single source of truth.
