Coffee Connection is a nonprofit, community-focused coffeehouse in Westside Los Angeles that needed a music program to match its ecological, study-friendly, and community-oriented vibe. After upgrading their sound system to SONOS, they found mainstream, non-customizable stations didn’t fit their three distinct environments, so they turned to SoundMachine for licensed, curated music tailored to their space.

SoundMachine’s curators created three tailored mixes with specific tempos and genres to play throughout the day and allowed Coffee Connection to tweak playlists for particular moods. The SoundMachine solution replaced generic stations, helped maintain the right volume and genre balance for studying and conversation, and even supported seasonal messaging—such as a Christmas song promoting their “Grinch” matcha—giving Coffee Connection a customizable soundtrack that complements its community mission.
