St. Croix Hospice, founded in 2008, provides in‑home hospice care across five states with more than 500 staff. The organization relied heavily on Samsung smartphones and tablets to support clinical and administrative teams, but a three‑person IT team was overwhelmed by 20–30 daily support calls, cumbersome phone troubleshooting, complex role‑based app deployments from a pool of 20+ apps, and the need to lock down Google Play to meet security and compliance requirements.
St. Croix implemented SOTI MobiControl and SOTI Assist as a cloud solution, giving IT remote‑control support, ticketing, and role‑based profiles/packages for over‑the‑air provisioning and silent updates, plus Android Enterprise integration for Play whitelisting. The result was hundreds of IT hours saved, much faster issue resolution and device provisioning, reduced worker downtime, simplified app management, and strengthened PHI security to support HIPAA compliance.
