Peninsula Hotels, part of Hongkong & Shanghai Hotels, wanted to enhance its luxury guest experience by deploying in-room tablets to control lighting, HVAC, drapes and guest services. The project faced major management challenges—preventing guests from tampering with devices, enforcing kiosk mode, tracking tablet location, and centrally monitoring and updating potentially thousands of devices without manual intervention.

Peninsula chose SOTI MobiControl on Samsung Galaxy tablets to provide centralized deployment, silent app installs, kiosk lockdown, remote diagnostics, location-based alerts and simple device enrolment. The solution is live in the Hong Kong property with planned rollouts to Paris, Beverly Hills and Chicago, delivering strong guest feedback, improved operational efficiency, better asset tracking and a differentiated in-room experience.
