Blue Dart, a division of DHL and South Asia’s premier express and logistics provider, delivers to over 25,498 locations across India. Its mobile field force uses Motorola MC70 devices and faced challenges with barcode scanning, field data collection and synchronization, and the need to centrally manage roughly 1,000 devices deployed across many locations.

Blue Dart implemented SOTI MobiControl for quick barcode-based device deployment, centralized remote control, real-time device information, and seamless integration with its tracking systems (devices run Windows Mobile 6.1 and sync to a central Oracle database over GPRS). The solution eliminated operational downtime during retrofits, sped information gathering, improved ROI, enabled remote recovery and lockdown of lost devices, and paved the way to expand coverage from 45 to more than 180 locations.
