How mobility is reshaping a 17th century company

PostNord, formed by the 2009 merger of Post Danmark and Posten AB and with roots stretching back to the 17th century, is the state‑owned Nordic leader in mail and parcel delivery with over 35,000 employees handling billions of items annually. As e‑commerce grew, PostNord needed to capture customer signatures at the point of delivery and share that data in near real‑time, while also improving remote support and gaining control over a dispersed fleet of mobile devices that had previously been tracked and managed manually.

PostNord selected SOTI MobiControl, supported by integrator Optidev, to lock devices into kiosk mode, provision and update apps remotely, log device locations, and enable integrated remote control for field troubleshooting. The rollout sped device provisioning, strengthened security, boosted productivity, cut IT and support costs through remote assistance, and was extended across urban and rural operations—with plans to deploy thousands more devices to improve delivery efficiency and support peak volumes.
