Broadridge, a global financial technology company, needed a way to protect sensitive proxy voting and shareholder data across borders, especially for EMEA customers concerned about GDPR and confidentiality. Its existing US-based architecture made it difficult to keep overseas voting data out of reach of US staff without investing in a costly proprietary mainframe.

Sotero implemented its Encryption API and Data Security Platform to encrypt data directly within Broadridge’s existing applications, keeping information confidential at rest, in transit, and in use without adding new hardware. With Sotero, Broadridge was able to protect data dynamically across regions, meet compliance and privacy goals, and onboard 25 additional customers while gaining scalable protection for future use cases.
