WAGO - Customer Case Study

WAGO, a global family-owned manufacturer of electrical components and automation technology, faced the challenge of protecting its 9,000 employees across 80 countries from sophisticated email-based cyber threats. With phishing responsible for 60% of incidents, CISO David Kreft needed an effective way to integrate security awareness into daily routines for a diverse, international workforce. The company turned to the vendor SoSafe for its phishing simulations and personalized e-learning to build a scalable, human-centric defense.

SoSafe provided a platform for behavior-based phishing simulations and personalized micro-learning lessons that were adapted for 30 countries and 21 languages. The solution’s continuously updated content kept training relevant against emerging threats. This partnership yielded significant results: employee phishing click rates dropped and WAGO’s Behavior Score, a key metric, improved from 65 to 91 out of 100. The campaign was so successful it was extended to employees' families, demonstrating how SoSafe helped WAGO build a resilient, top-down security culture.
