ScienceDaily, a research news publisher, needed a better way to manage its web ad monetization, improve ad quality, and gain access to more demand partners without spending too much time on ad tech. The team also wanted a partner with industry expertise to help navigate changes in the advertising landscape while it focused on editorial content. Sortable provided Sortable for Small Business to meet those needs.
Sortable gradually implemented and tested its ad tech stack against ScienceDaily’s existing setup, then moved the site over and optimized desktop and mobile ad layouts, added new demand partners, and introduced lazy loading. The result was an immediate daily revenue increase of about 20% and a 19.8% year-over-year eCPM increase in January 2019, along with continued improvements in revenue, CPMs, impressions, and user experience.
