SORCE brings together a large 24/7 mobile workforce

South Central Ambulance Service, a 3,000+ employee NHS trust serving over 4 million people, needed a mobile‑friendly intranet to connect a large, 24/7 mobile workforce across many locations. To solve this, South Central Ambulance Service engaged Sorce to deliver the Engage intranet, aiming to centralise contact information, documents, knowledge sharing and social engagement accessible from ambulances’ tablets and office desktops.

Sorce implemented the Engage intranet with features such as an Active Directory‑integrated staff directory, location-targeted content and maps, video briefings, a “Do it online” links area, and a social Staff Room. The result is a business‑critical, widely used platform that brings together over 3,000 employees, increases efficiency by centralising services and reducing manual updates, improves engagement with regular video and social content, and is accessed daily by the majority of staff — all delivered and supported by Sorce.
