West london Mental Health faced the challenge of replacing 40 disparate systems and legacy sites with a single, centralised intranet to store policies, share news and create a “one organisation” environment. Working with Sorce and its Engage intranet software (deployed as The Exchange), the trust set out to provide a joint Communications and IT‑led solution that could be customised to clinical and corporate needs.
Sorce’s Engage platform (The Exchange) was adopted and extended by the trust’s self‑sufficient team to deliver dozens of bespoke applications—Risk Register, Incident Reporting, HR, scorecards, reporting/survey tools, Action Zone and more—replacing manual paper processes and long-running monthly reports. The result was real‑time, reportable tools, streamlined incident workflows, integrated HR/payroll links, daily reports instead of monthly, thousands of pounds saved in printing and admin, and training compliance reaching 90%; Sorce’s platform became a business‑critical system for the trust.
