Motability Operations Moves from Email-Heavy Culture to SharePoint Intranet

Motability Operations, the organisation behind the Motability car, powered wheelchair and scooter scheme serving over 700,000 people, wanted to move away from an email-heavy culture and provide a central, user-friendly platform for documents, news, collaboration and employee support. In partnership with Sorce, Motability Operations rolled out a Microsoft SharePoint intranet—branded MOConnect—to replace their old, underused intranet and support a more digital-first employee experience.

Sorce delivered the SharePoint-based MOConnect in a six-month implementation alongside Motability Operations’ 15-person project team, going live in April 2023. The new intranet provides a one-stop hub for news, files, apps and learning, has significantly reduced internal email traffic, strengthened communications and enabled mobile access for staff—measurable improvements attributed to Sorce’s SharePoint expertise and straightforward, personable delivery.
