Intranet helps Totemic raise the bar with its wellbeing support

Totemic, the holding company for a group of financial services and IT providers (including PayPlan) with over 800 staff, faced a failing 20‑year‑old intranet and spent 12 months operating without one, relying on email and newsletters that overwhelmed inboxes. To replace the outdated system quickly, Totemic selected Sorce and its Engage intranet as the preferred platform.

Sorce designed and built the new “Totem” Engage intranet in three months after signing the contract in January 2022, launching to managers on 6 April and to all 800 staff the next day. Sorce’s solution delivers a secure document repository, social recognition tools, a discount hub and crucial wellbeing features — including a crisis support button that alerts managers to listen in and a “Help me now” route to Wellness Champions — enabling faster crisis response, streamlined communications and positive staff feedback across the organisation.
