Engage’s intranet user interface has a positive impact on employee performance at Yusen Logistics

Yusen Logistics engaged Sorce to build a modern, social intranet to improve collaboration and connect a large, dispersed UK workforce of around 2,000 employees, including depot-based drivers and remote workers. The challenge was to create an adaptable, easy-to-administer hub for company news, department updates and cross-team working that could be extended over time; Sorce delivered this using its Engage intranet interface.

Sorce relaunched the site as iConnect on the Engage platform, giving each department self-administered pages, a monthly Chairman’s blog, depot kiosks for drivers and an integrated vehicle-tracking application that monitors movements of thousands of lorries and drivers nationwide. The result is a modern, user-friendly intranet that has increased engagement across the organisation, ensured up-to-date content from every department, put photos against all contacts, improved access for remote workers and saved significant operational time through the new tracking app.
