Engage unites two organisations across multiple locations

VIVID, Hampshire’s largest provider of affordable homes with around 850 staff, faced the challenge of uniting employees across multiple locations after a merger and replacing an existing intranet. They engaged Sorce to deliver a new intranet using Sorce’s Engage technology to provide a single, personable hub for documents, policies, employee contacts, company news and social engagement.

Sorce implemented the new Engage intranet branded “VIV,” launching it on merger day with activities to drive adoption and integrating features such as Yammer, project microblogs, document version control and mandatory reads, an IT FAQ app, and a “Log a Visitor” application tied to reception kiosks. The result is a modern, central platform that has made communications far more efficient (VIVID now publishes about 10 news articles a week), reduced irrelevant all-staff emails, saved staff time through improved search and automation, and helped bring people together across the organisation.
