Independence Homes, a care services provider with over 400 staff across London and South East supporting 130+ individuals, needed to upgrade an existing Sorce intranet to the latest Engage user interface. Their goals were a fresher, branded look and improved accessibility for remote and frontline staff, plus stronger document management (mandatory read and version control) and easier navigation across locations and departments.

Sorce implemented the Engage intranet upgrade with dedicated department/location pages, personalised "my pages," improved document versioning and mandatory read workflows, remote access, calendar tools, and an Employee of the Month feature (plus integration with Independence Homes’ Shifts Application). The result: faster administration (changes now take about 5 minutes), better search and time savings, clearer document ownership via expiry-based lists, wider remote access for support staff, and higher employee engagement and efficiency.
