Engage intranet software improves engagement and efficiency at NEU

The National Education Union (NEU), a UK membership organisation with around 500 employees, needed to improve employee engagement and streamline processes by creating a modern, less London‑centric intranet that would reach nine regional/Wales offices and communicate an imminent amalgamation. They engaged Sorce to deliver a fast, modern solution using Sorce’s Engage intranet technology.

Sorce launched the new "NEUS" Engage intranet on schedule, adding regional office pages, a resources tab and centralized news so all staff receive the same amalgamation updates and Joint General Secretaries’ communications simultaneously. The result: increased employee engagement (including previously disengaged users), measurable time savings across departments—notably HR through self‑service—unified access to policies, events and vacancies, and a fresh, dynamic site that Sorce continues to support.
