Anglian engaged Sorce to replace an outdated internal portal with a modern, user‑friendly intranet and an extranet for its self‑employed remote sales force. Using Sorce’s Engage intranet software, Anglian needed a scalable central communications hub and a separate branded extranet because they couldn’t carry out development in‑house and faced high external costs, low engagement and inefficient processes.
Sorce implemented Engage as two sites—The Hive (internal intranet) and ASTAR (remote extranet)—adding employee profiles, a microblog, scheduled content, leaderboards, galleries and analytics. The solution replaced a monthly printed magazine to 600 salespeople, cut IT helpdesk calls by 90%, saved roughly half a day per week in manual admin by automating leaderboard updates, and delivered clear time and cost savings, higher engagement and an outstanding return on investment for Anglian.
